Cedar Fencing
Cedar fencing built in our own shop
Natural character, custom detail, and panels manufactured for your property rather than pulled off a pallet.
Why cedar still wins in New England
Northern white cedar is naturally resistant to rot and insects, and it handles the freeze-thaw cycle that defines a Massachusetts winter. Left alone it weathers to a soft silver gray; stained or sealed, it holds a warmer tone for years.
Cedar is also the most flexible material we work with. It can be racked to follow a grade, stepped along a stone wall, notched around ledge, and finished with post caps, lattice tops, or a custom arch over a gate.
Styles we build
Board privacy, universal privacy, spaced board, baluster, lattice top, crossbuck, rail, and fully custom designs. Gates are built to match, hung on heavy hardware, and adjusted on site so they still swing true after a season of settling.
If you have seen a fence you like anywhere on the South Shore, bring us a photo. Because we manufacture in house, most designs can be reproduced or adapted to your layout.
Caring for a cedar fence
Cedar needs very little: rinse it when it gets dusty, keep sprinklers and mulch off the boards, and re-stain every few years if you want to preserve the color. Boards and pickets can be replaced individually, so a fence stays serviceable for decades.
