Plan the layout before you commit. Walk the line with your installer and talk through gate placement, mower access, and where you will want to bring equipment through. Moving a gate later is far more work than placing it correctly the first time.
Keep the base clear. Mulch, leaves, and soil piled against a wood fence hold moisture against the boards. A few inches of clearance makes a real difference over time.
Stay ahead of the vegetation. Trim branches that shed water onto the top of a fence and keep climbing plants under control unless the fence was designed to carry them.
Handle small repairs early. A loose hinge, a shifted post, or a cracked picket is a quick fix now and a larger project later. Give us a call if something needs attention.
